New capability brings new adversaries, unlike the ones we already understand.

Every institution we serve is adopting AI, instant settlement and internet-connected control at once. The defenders have not had time to learn what that combination looks like when it is turned against them.

Financial services

AI has made impersonation and synthetic identity cheap. A convincing voice, a plausible document and a fabricated history no longer require a skilled crew; they require a prompt.

At the same time, instant and tokenized rails settle value in seconds with no batch window to review it. The overnight pause that fraud teams relied on to catch a bad transfer is gone.

Agentic AI runs at machine speed and does not rest, on both sides of the wall. You can hold an employee accountable. You cannot fire an AI agent.

Utilities

Utilities are putting Operational Technology on the internet and extending the grid to batteries, EVs and thermostats they neither own nor control, pushing the attack surface into homes.

After the Minnesota water-system attacks in July 2026, the FBI confirmed within days that utilities in at least seven states had been hit the same way, operators locked out of their own controllers. That is the tip of the iceberg.

The control layer was designed for physical isolation. It is now reachable, programmable and increasingly automated, and it is often run by a municipal crew that has never had a security engineer.

Digital Verity exists to enhance trust in that world.

Trust is not something you assert. It is something you verify, continuously, against evidence you control. That principle shapes every product we build and every community we convene.

Who carries the cost

$7.7B
lost by Americans over 60 in 2025, up 59 percent

Older adults

They are not the group that files the most complaints. They are the group that loses the most: $38,500 per victim, 86 percent above the national average, and 37 percent of all reported losses from 20 percent of the adult population. Romance, tech-support and grandparent scams all rely on the same three things: urgency, confusion and distraction. Recovery is rare, and the people meant to rescue them, from adult protective services to law enforcement, are overworked and out of jurisdiction.

$123,000
average loss per business email compromise

Small businesses

Criminals target business accounts because the balances are larger and a forged check blends into the volume. A washed check from a mailbox becomes a stack of counterfeits; a spoofed invoice becomes a wire that settles in minutes. Eighty-six percent of business email compromise now moves over cryptocurrency rails, so a bank watching only wires sees seven percent of the problem.

30+
water systems where operators lost control in one month

Communities on the grid

Water and electric utilities depend on control systems that were designed for physical isolation and now sit on the public internet. In July 2026 attackers reached internet-facing controllers at more than 30 Minnesota water systems and operators lost control. The households, schools and clinics downstream had no way to know. As the grid extends to customer-owned batteries, EVs and thermostats, the attack surface reaches into homes that no utility controls.

Who we work with

Community banks

Institutions whose fraud team is often two or three people, and who will be the first to feel fraud on digital-asset rails.

Energy operators

Utilities and the operators of distributed energy resources standing up virtual power plants, where enterprise IT and the cyber-physical control layer now share one attack surface.

Universities and research programs

Faculty and students who want real problems, real data constraints and real decisions, on work that ships to the institutions above.

Tell us what you are facing

Community banks, energy operators and research programs are all welcome.
